At Ms. Lam’s Montessori School…

We have one key goal.

Simply said, our goal is to help children adapt to the future world. But, what skills will today’s children need, 20, 30, 40 years from now? What information will they need to know?

In our schools, we focus on helping each child to become a thinker and a learner, not a digester of facts nor a memory bank for details. In a world where information and knowledge change daily, it is essential to fill children with a love for learning.

Consequently, we focus on teaching children how to think. We encourage them to become creative problem-solvers and to collaborate with their classmates. We believe that establishing good habits of self- discipline and cooperation will serve them throughout their lifetimes.

To do this, we rely on over 100 years of history of the Montessori teaching method, which instructs us to look at the child. What are his or her natural capabilities? How can we work alongside each one’s natural interests, rather than in opposition to them?

More than anything, we are committed to educating the WHOLE child. We are passionate about our role in helping prepare your children for who and what they will become.
